Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever."
Mick C.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
when all looks hopeless; when it seems there is no where, or no one to turn to; this Word of God says that His Word abides forever" Forever! Others, and myself. will someday be gone. Why then, why do I focus on that, or those which will perish? God's Word, His promises will endure forever

Isaiah 39:4
The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?"

"They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."

Oh man, that's me! All to often I think my motivation is sinful; in wanting others to see Jesus in me, is it that Christ will be glorified, or a fleshly desire that I will be esteemed? Hum. Hezekiah must have realized that God had blessed him. He wanted those of the world (Babylon represents the evil worldly system; which is where he chose envoys). To God belongs 'all' the glory. He will not sharie it with anyone, and rightfully so. Convicting-thank you Jesus.

Yes Mick, sometimes we have to be careful how we show the blessings of the Lord! Are we "Showing off" what He has given us with the "Show off" attitude? Or, are we saying; "Look at what God has blessed me with! Praise the Lord, I have been waiting for over 6 months for a microwave, and I have prayed and prayed for God to send one to me! And look here! God showed Curt were one is and he bought it for $19.99 and it is like new! Hallelujah! Jesus gives to us when we are trusting in Him buddy!!" Through this, this is a testimony for the Lord, and HE gets all the glory and honor and praise for giving me my microwave! It wasn't me! I was not even there! It wasn't Curt because I truthfully think he didn't even care I was wanting another one, HA HA BUT, when we talk to others about what we have, we have to let them always know that we have it because GOD gave it to us. Give HIM the credit, and it is not taking the glory away from the Lord. It is our attitude that God sees, what is in our hearts, and how we present our blessing before others is what matters.

Isaiah 11:12
He will raise a banner for the nations
and gather the exiles of Israel;
he will assemble the scattered people of Judah
from the four quarters of the earth.

The entire chapter foretells that "God will" This is what God will do; His Word does not change and is totally without error! The Lord has a plan for His chosn nation of Israel. He is faithful to fulfill His covenant with Israel. Praise God for His grace to save both the Jew and Gentile who look upon Jesus. Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement and praise to God.

Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"

And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"

Mick C.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
First, is my desire to really, I mean truly, "High and lifted up" Do I really understand the meaning that the 'whole earth is full of His Glory" Oh, sure I say that 'I am a sinner' (a man of unclean lips), but do I understand the ugliness of my sin when I think of God's holiness and glory. Would it then be so easy for me to say 'Here am I, send me' Am I truly willing to submit totally to the Lordship of Christ? He paid the ultimate price to redeem; I belong to Him totally, not to myself; not to the world.

The Lord sees our hearts, and if you are willing to learn, to know His wisdom and knowledge, He will give you the understanding to really know the things that you are wanting answered. Only you and the Lord know if you are really ready in your heart to submit to Him and be sent out to minister for Him. God has already prepared you with an open heart to Him, He is just waiting for you to take that first step out in faith! Keep your trust in Him my friend and He will be right there with you every step of the way!

Our enemy likes to plant seeds of doubt and discouragement but will we say, come Lord, use me and give me the spiritual boldness to step out with His assurance.

i know if i knew ahead of time the place God was going to send me, i would have never said "send me" and i doubt if Isaiah knew he would have to walk around naked for 3 years. As we step out in faith, our faith grows stronger and we see it is God doing all the work not us. Our walk with the Lord is a journey and we are kidding ourselves if we think we can truly understand any of it. God is so much above our comprehension.

Proverbs 13:10
Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
Mick C.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
Pride=strife. Pride is foundational to every sin. When there is strife in my life, even if I remain silent, the root is pride. My eyes are on myself, and not focused on God. A convicting reminder to myself, that strife is not of God's wisdom. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Mick C.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning; wow, just the beginning of wisdom. Understanding' which reminds me of the song "what's it all about Alphi?" It's all about the Holy One-knowing Him-that's understanding. Also look at Prov.1::7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowlege, yet fools despise wisdom and instruction" Psalms 14:1 states "The fool has said in his heart "there is no God" Our world views those who follow God are the idiots, and those who trust their own human wisdom as the intellects. Thank you Jesus for your Word and Your love for us. Yet, I must ask myself; is my life truly reflecting what I say I believe' Am I truly a witness for our Lord Jesus in my word and deed? Convicting.

Sometimes you know you have respect for God and His Word, you are asking Him and doing your very best to wanting to have His wisdom, and knowing WHO God is and what He can do helps us to understand our Christian Walk with Him more and more. God sees your heart, and He knows your love for Him. He sees where your heart is and when you are doing your best to be a great witness for Him to speak through you to someone else. You show good character and witness for Him through your words and what you do and how you act in front of people. The devil will always make you wonder and doubt yourself, your faith, your trust, and anything that has to do with God and your godliness because he wants you to feel like you are not really a child of God so you question yourself right into doubt and fear. Then worry and anxiety comes in. Then depression and feeling alone come in. When you start to doubt yourself, STOP, ASK God why your feeling this way, and CLAIM your Salvation in Jesus! Tell the devil that you know you are not perfect and so what if you make mistakes! You are a blood bought Child of God and you are leaning to the One WHO is perfect, and that is JESUS CHRIST YOUR BIG BROTHER IN HEAVEN, YOU HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN AND JUSTIFIED BY HIS PERFECTION WHEN HE DIED FOR YOU! If you do not stand your ground through Jesus to him, he will always try over and over again to try to make you feel you are a failure to God! AMEN!

Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
the world strives for achievement, knowledge, power, material/money posessians, and on and on; for that which has no eternal value. Wisdom is cryiing out "choose me, choose me" while not only listing the superior benefits, but when, what, and where wisdom truly is. "The Lord brought me forth; true wisdom is from God so why would we even consider looking elsewhere? "the first of His works" God created wisdom right away. God's wisdom is of God from the beginning (read the following verses) even before the world was created. Awesome! Just Awesome! We don't have to earn it from God, in fact Wisdom is crying out to be chosen. Incredible-Wow!!!!

Yes, Mick, the whole time I was reading this I was correlating it with Jn 1:in the beginning was The Word, The Word was with God and The Word became flesh and came to dwell among us full of Grace and truth. Jesus is The Word, but according to this chapter, He's Wisdom.

Mary P. from DeMotte, IN said:
So true! We do not have to earn anything from Him! He gives to us everything FREE! Because He loves us so much! Our Salvation was already bought and paid for by JESUS! So, everything else from that day forward, IS FREE! We just have to live for Him and be the most godly and righteous person we can be for Him. And if we should fall? Pick yourself up, dust off the sin by asking for His forgiveness, and get back on the road to receiving your right standing with Him and your Crown of Life!!! AMEN!! Thank you Jesus for your loving and awesome forgiving of us and our sins!
