Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
The commands of the Lord aught to be our most treasured possession we have, and as we apply them to our lives will keep us from the eternal torments of hell. Lord, help me/us to always remember and act upon Your commands, that I/we may spend eternity in Your presence. Amen

Sin gives pleasure for a season, but is disobedience always has negative consequences. True wisdom; that is the wisdom from God obeys the commands of His Word. "My son, keep my words and store up my commands-saturate your mind with the Word of God, pray also, as Jesus said "that you may not enter into temptation"

This verse spoke greatly to me today. I am a new born and I have been desiring to know him more, to get closer to him, etc. and I have wondered how I need to do it and this spoke to me telling me how. To me it means to keep what he says and do it faithfully.

It seems that we have been given many commands and reasons for not committing physical adultery in the last 3 chapters. God also hates it when His bride commits spiritual adultery with other "gods" in our lives - anything that takes us from making Jesus and His kingdom and purposes from being # 1. Even doing some "good" things which still aren't the best can be a form of adultery. We need to have wisdom and seek first His kingdom and His righteousnenss (Matt 6:33). Help us all Lord put you first.
