Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers and the flowers fall,
but the word of our God endures forever."
but the word of our God endures forever."
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
when all looks hopeless; when it seems there is no where, or no one to turn to; this Word of God says that His Word abides forever" Forever! Others, and myself. will someday be gone. Why then, why do I focus on that, or those which will perish? God's Word, His promises will endure forever

Isaiah 39:4
The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?""They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
Oh man, that's me! All to often I think my motivation is sinful; in wanting others to see Jesus in me, is it that Christ will be glorified, or a fleshly desire that I will be esteemed? Hum. Hezekiah must have realized that God had blessed him. He wanted those of the world (Babylon represents the evil worldly system; which is where he chose envoys).
To God belongs 'all' the glory. He will not sharie it with anyone, and rightfully so. Convicting-thank you Jesus.

Isaiah 11:12
He will raise a banner for the nations
and gather the exiles of Israel;
he will assemble the scattered people of Judah
from the four quarters of the earth.
and gather the exiles of Israel;
he will assemble the scattered people of Judah
from the four quarters of the earth.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
The entire chapter foretells that "God will" This is what God will do; His Word does not change and is totally without error! The Lord has a plan for His chosn nation of Israel. He is faithful to fulfill His covenant with Israel. Praise God for His grace to save both the Jew and Gentile who look upon Jesus. Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement and praise to God.

Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"And I said, "Here am I. Send me!"
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
First, is my desire to really, I mean truly, "High and lifted up" Do I really understand the meaning that the 'whole earth is full of His Glory" Oh, sure I say that 'I am a sinner' (a man of unclean lips), but do I understand the ugliness of my sin when I think of God's holiness and glory. Would it then be so easy for me to say 'Here am I, send me' Am I truly willing to submit totally to the Lordship of Christ? He paid the ultimate price to redeem; I belong to Him totally, not to myself; not to the world.

Isaiah 5:16
But the Lord Almighty will be exalted by his justice,
and the holy God will be proved holy by his righteous acts.
and the holy God will be proved holy by his righteous acts.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
God is just and righteous in all His ways. He will be glorified, and not share His glory. In His blessings, and His chastisement I experience, God is altogether Holy, Righteous, and Just.

Proverbs 13:10
Where there is strife, there is pride,
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
but wisdom is found in those who take advice.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
Pride=strife. Pride is foundational to every sin. When there is strife in my life, even if I remain silent, the root is pride. My eyes are on myself, and not focused on God. A convicting reminder to myself, that strife is not of God's wisdom. "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom"

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning; wow, just the beginning of wisdom. Understanding' which reminds me of the song "what's it all about Alphi?" It's all about the Holy One-knowing Him-that's understanding. Also look at Prov.1::7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowlege, yet fools despise wisdom and instruction" Psalms 14:1 states "The fool has said in his heart "there is no God" Our world views those who follow God are the idiots, and those who trust their own human wisdom as the intellects. Thank you Jesus for your Word and Your love for us. Yet, I must ask myself; is my life truly reflecting what I say I believe' Am I truly a witness for our Lord Jesus in my word and deed? Convicting.

Proverbs 8:22
"The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works,
before his deeds of old;
before his deeds of old;
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
the world strives for achievement, knowledge, power, material/money posessians, and on and on; for that which has no eternal value. Wisdom is cryiing out "choose me, choose me" while not only listing the superior benefits, but when, what, and where wisdom truly is. "The Lord brought me forth; true wisdom is from God so why would we even consider looking elsewhere? "the first of His works" God created wisdom right away. God's wisdom is of God from the beginning (read the following verses) even before the world was created. Awesome! Just Awesome! We don't have to earn it from God, in fact Wisdom is crying out to be chosen. Incredible-Wow!!!!

Proverbs 7:1
My son, keep my words
and store up my commands within you.
and store up my commands within you.
Mick C. from Frostproof, FL said:
Sin gives pleasure for a season, but is disobedience always has negative consequences. True wisdom; that is the wisdom from God obeys the commands of His Word. "My son, keep my words and store up my commands-saturate your mind with the Word of God, pray also, as Jesus said "that you may not enter into temptation"
