Isaiah 38:5
"Go and tell Hezekiah, 'This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will add fifteen years to your life.

Hezekiah was one of few people who knew how much time he had left on this earth. Life is a gift from God and how many days we have on this earth is determined by the Creator. We need to see each new day as a gift and invest it for eternity. One day our day will come and we will breathe our last breath and depending on our relationship with Jesus Christ we will wake up in one of two places. Jesus came to give us the gift of eternal life. Come to Him and live forever with Him!

The Lord hears the prayers of those who are faithful to Him. Lord, help me to walk in obedience to Your commands, that You will hear my prayers as You did Hezekiah's. Amen

This to me, is a reminder that we need to plead fervently with the Lord for Him to act on our behalf because as Hezekiah prayed fervently to the Lord, He answered. I fully believe that as the Lord spoke in 2 Chronicles 7:14, He has not changed today because He is always the same. Help us all to fervently cry out to You, Lord, that as we come together in fervent prayer, whether we are physically together or only spiritually together, You will hear and answer. Amen

Amen!! Each night I go to the Lord and I pray to Him for each and every one I have in my Facebook friend list and on here! Some of the new ones I have I might not remember their names, BUT the Lord knows who they are Amen! I pray that God helps them, heal them, direct and lead them, and anything else they have going on in their life that they do not ask prayer for. God sees each one and He knows the needs of each one, and I pray for each one, and this is what matters! Hallelujah! I talk with and read from from many people a day, and I would love to remember all their names! HA HA But it is a little hard, but I do pray and call out to God for you all!! I promise, I do!! Brother Lloyd, and Sisters Donna, Nancy, and Sharon are my "Regular Friends" that I talk with on a daily basis, so it is easier for me to call out your names, but please, to the others, that doesn't make you any less important to us!! God bless you all and may He watch over you and keep you in His loving arms!

God bless you Mary, I, and I'm sure all the others appreciate your prayers. It has been a difficult week for myself and my wife as we have lost 2 precious brothers and a sister in Christ over the last week. Still one funeral to attend. One who passed a week ago today was a renowned Bible School teacher, years ago and was to preach in his church last Sunday but passed on Friday. He was 93. Have a blessed weekend...!!!

Thanks for your prayers Mary, i pray for you too. And for you too Lloyd. better to go to the funeral of a saved person than of an unsaved person. i know a guy that died this past week by a freak accident. He was leaning over talking to a friend that was in a parked car. His last words were "God is good". He stood up and a tape measure falling from a high story building dropped on his head. Very sad for his wife and kids but what a great way to die. No doctors, no hospital, no pain, just praising the Lord then carried off to be present with the Lord and absent from the body.

How reassuring is the knowledge that God is in control! That only God can decide when our time is up! Father God, help me not to waste the time you have given me. Help me to live a life that is pleasing to You!

Nancy - thank you for your prayers. I have been praying for the salvation of my daughters...each one of them has accepted the Lord only to walk away at a later date. My middle daughter accepted the Lord when she was 18 and then it was as if she said, "ok, now I am saved so I can go and live my life as I see fit." She has shown little or no interest in spiritual things except last week she asked me if I had any Christian DVDs and if so could she borrow them!!!!! The Holy Spirit is working on her! Praise God!!

Amen!! "We have not because we ask not" is one of my sayings I say because when I get to thinking "Why?" or "HOW?" I remember Jesus telling them in John! Then I go to the Lord and ask Him to forgive my attitude on asking Him these questions, and I ask Him because I know I will have His help! AMEN
