Knowing he was going to die, Moses didn't beg for his life or plead his innocence. Rather, he obeyed God's commands and rounded the troops together. It shows me that no matter what the circumstance is, I need to obey God regardless of the outcome. It's easier said than done but Moses had no fear of death so neither should we.

I have lost track of who the Midianites were and why God needed to take vengeance on them and who in our day which country the Midianites would be part of. Its too bad that there is still so much fighting and killing especially in areas like Syria and Iran and other places we may not hear much about. Is this the way God allows for purification of His people? It is good to be God's chosen one (in Christ) and to be a part of His family and a place where my life has value in Him.

The message is very clear. Those who persecute people belonging to the Lord will face punishment and judgement. If God is for us, what can man do unto us?
