Jacob lived a challenging life in his 147 years. Grief had taken its toll on him even though he had been reunited with Joseph.

Jacob grieved for years over the loss of his son, Joseph. But God had a different plan. He travelled tot he land of Goshen where his son met him. Joseph would be there to close his father's eyes for the last time. God is faithful...even when things seem hopeless!

We don't understand the plans of God some times. What may seem terrible to us may be used of God to save others. Joseph trusted God, even when he languished in jail. His heart was full of faith and forgiveness.

The brothers saw that their guilt was not far from them. I wonder how many times they grieved over what they had done to Joseph? They still didn't understand that Joseph was right in front of them!

Deeply moved at the sight of his brother, Joseph hurried out and looked for a place to weep. He went into his private room and wept there.

All that had been taken away from Joseph by his brothers was being restored. It had to be an overwhelming experience to be with them after all this lost time.

It is amazing how I am like these brothers when things happen and I ask, "What are you up to God?" I have created the situation with my choices but I need to ask God, "What can I learn from this?"
