Genesis 49:10
The scepter will not depart from Judah,
nor the ruler's staff from between his feet,
until he to whom it belongs shall come
and the obedience of the nations shall be his.
nor the ruler's staff from between his feet,
until he to whom it belongs shall come
and the obedience of the nations shall be his.

This phrase " until he to whom it belongs shall come and the obedience of the nations shall be his" indicates to me that through this line will come the Messiah, Jesus the Christ. God had a plan and before Jacob passed, he gave the message of His coming. Our God knows the end from the beginning. All glory and praise to Him. Amen

Amen and Amen For Genesis 49 The Blessings of Jacob/Israel on his sons, the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The descendants of Judah will be kings and rulers, Key words : The scepter (of Justice) will not depart from Judah, nor the rulers staff from between His feet. As Christians we believe this is in reference to Jesus Christ, The Lion of Judah.

Jesus would come through the line of Judah. He came as a suffering Savior but one day He will come as a conquering King!
