Genesis 43:30
Deeply moved at the sight of his brother, Joseph hurried out and looked for a place to weep. He went into his private room and wept there.

Joseph obviously was so over joyed that all his brothers and his father were alive, and yet, he still did not at this point want to reveal his identity to them. Therefore he removed himself and wept with joy over his family all being alive and well. I can imagine what separation of family for about 20 years, and then discover they were all well would be like. Joseph surely held his composure, even at their first meeting, and yet they had not recognized him. In my mind, Joseph is a great example for us even today, as he truly walked with God and trusted Him.

Joseph, obviously with such joy of having all his brothers before him found it very difficult to control his emotions, since they did not recognize him as their own brother from years before. I sometimes wonder if the Lord blinded their recognition of him for the time being. What an awesome God we serve, who never changes.

All that had been taken away from Joseph by his brothers was being restored. It had to be an overwhelming experience to be with them after all this lost time.

Your thoughts are similar to mine, Ken, only expressed in a different way. God bless you, brother Ken.

It is neat to see Joseph's heart here. Just like God / Jesus, Joseph deeply loves and cares for his family (and others) even though he in His position He must play the role as lord of the land for Pharaoh the king.

It is hard to imagine how Joseph felt in this moment. So many emotions and feeling and memories came flooding back and wondering how his brothers would react to seeing him again.

Joseph was obviously overwhelmed to see his youngest brother and all of them together and they had not recognized him. At the same time realizing that his father, Jacob, (Israel) was still alive and well, he became emotional but did not yet want to reveal his own identity. I can only imagine what it would have been like for him.
