Jeremiah 49:16
The terror you inspire
and the pride of your heart have deceived you,
you who live in the clefts of the rocks,
who occupy the heights of the hill.
Though you build your nest as high as the eagle's,
from there I will bring you down,"
declares the Lord.

I have to be very careful that I don't allow pride to get in the way of ministering to others. It can be easy to think I do it all and take the glory instead of allowing God the glory.

God is always with me. He punishes me to purify me and bring me back to him. Acts have consequences, if I'm going to do the act then I need to face the punishment. Only then will I be purified.

Jeremiah 44:5
But they did not listen or pay attention; they did not turn from their wickedness or stop burning incense to other gods.
Lou Ann D. from Fort Smith, AR said:
It took me many years to turn away from my wickedness. I made a god of my drugs and alcohol. Things didn't always go right never dawned on me I had put another god before the one true God. It took my husband dying and me losing everything and becoming homeless for me to realize where I was at. Now praise God I'm where I need to be not where I used to be.
