We all need to be very careful about what we say about other people, we especially need to be extremely careful about what we say about our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Even if we know something to be true beyond the shadow of a doubt, more often than not, it's wiser to not talk about it with others because as Christians we need to be building one another up, not tearing one another down. We need to pray more and gossip less because gossiping can hurt a brother or sister that we are suppose to love, we are suppose to love one another just as Christ loved/loves us!

Yes, Jerry, what you say is right, however, well find out in the next chapter that what he said was EXACTLY true and Ishmael ends up killing Gedaliah.

I know that Donna, I know the Book of Jeremiah quite well. The things that I write don't always pertain directly to the book, chapter, and verses that we are reading. I have been in the ministry long enough to know that I need to write what the Holy Spirit puts on my heart to write about. The comment I made here was more prompted by the things I see happening in my own church than by what we read in this chapter of Jeremiah, what I read here simply brought the things I did say to remembrance.
