Ecclesiastes 1:9
What has been will be again,
what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.

Renee B. from Thomasville, GA said:
This is such a true statement! Look at fashion, hairstyles and even sin. The sin that was done before is still being done today, only on a larger scale! God help us!
Donna N.
Donna N. from Orlando, FL said:
Yes, Renee, the more things change, the more they seem to stay the same.
Mary P.
Mary P. from DeMotte, IN said:
Yes, and I am so glad that God was there for His people back then, and He IS STILL HERE TODAY! The same grace and mercy He showed to them, He shows to us! The same unconditional love He had for them, He still has for us! AMEN!! Thank you Lord!
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
His word stands forever. God spoke this to the people of Israel some 3,000 yeras ago and it still applies to us today: 2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Proverbs 24:8
Whoever plots evil
will be known as a schemer.
Renee B.
Renee B. from Thomasville, GA said:
When you go around setting traps for others, no good luck will become you. Scheming on others is just not God like! This time could be used to do something for the Kingdom instead of against the Kingdom.
Donna N.
Donna N. from Orlando, FL said:
Yes, Renee, better to scheme prayers for their salvation.
Mary P.
Mary P. from DeMotte, IN said:
That is right Donna! They might be able to stop you from sharing God's Word with them and not want to hear what you have to say; BUT they can not stop you from praying and sicking God on them! HA HA!! Praise the Lord!

Proverbs 23:17
Do not let your heart envy sinners,
but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord.
Renee B.
Renee B. from Thomasville, GA said:
Do not worry about what the people in the world are doing, but instead have a continuous fear of the Lord.
Sharon G.
Sharon G. from Petersfield, MB said:
For years I worried about what other people thought - now I put what God thinks first and to heck with the others!

That's good, Renee and Sharon
Mary P.
Mary P. from DeMotte, IN said:
It is God we need to worry about and please! If we can not please Him FIRST, then we do not have a very good witness for Him do we? When we please HIM FIRST, everything else will fall into place! Pleasing God and doing what HE wants is the first step in our faith to bring others to Him because if we are not living for Him like we should, how can we bring to Him a lost and hurting person?

Proverbs 22:26
Do not be one who shakes hands in pledge
or puts up security for debts;
Renee B.
Renee B. from Thomasville, GA said:
Don't make promises that you know you can't keep.
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
True, Renee. That is wisdom, not to pledge yourself for another's debts. I have seen people lose a bunch because they were taken to the cleaners, so-to-speak, when the second party just failed to pay off the debt and left the person who pledged their selves to pay a debt they did not even really owe. God bless
Donna N.
Donna N. from Orlando, FL said:
Yes, Renee, I totally agree with Lloyd. And you definitely can't keep a promise for someone else.

To do what is right and just
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Renee B.
Renee B. from Thomasville, GA said:
Being obedient to the ways and the Word of God is better than anything that you can or would be willing to give up for Him!
Donna N.
Donna N. from Orlando, FL said:
That right, Renee, God wants us to live Him our whole heart mind soul and strength. Then we're free to obey.

Proverbs 17:21
To have a fool for a child brings grief;
there is no joy for the parent of a godless fool.
Renee B.
Renee B. from Thomasville, GA said:
It pains the heart of a parent to have a child that refuses to accept the teachings and the ways of the Lord.
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
Oh so true, Renee. We, personally, are blessed with children that are upright, even though some have not made decisions for the Lord, or have fallen away from His fellowship. We pray regularly that they will be awakened.
Sharon G.
Sharon G. from Petersfield, MB said:
All three of my daughters have accepted Christ at some time or another but there has been no evidence of any fruit in them. The oldest accepted the Lord when she attended "Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames" and now she is into "Wicca", the middle one accepted the Lord when she was 18 - she is now 41 - very little fruit. She is currently living with a guy. My youngest, accepted the Lord when she was 8. Was very close to the Lord growing up, married a Christian man and had two children. Her husband knows the Bible through and through and uses it as a weapon. After 15 years she left him and it appears like she has left the Lord as well. The heartache a parent feels when they see their children go away from the Lord is awful!
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
All you can do, Sharon, is pray and count on the Lord. Pro_22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Father, we ask You to draw Sharon's children back to You. Convict their hearts, Lord, and cause them to turn back to the things of the Lord as they were raised to do. Amen
Renee B.
Renee B. from Thomasville, GA said:
I touch and agree with Lloyd's prayer for your children, Sharomn, but for my children as well, that God's grace and mercy will allow them to see the light and be drawn back to Him while He may yet be found! Scripture says "It is with loving kindness that I have drawn thee!"

Donna N. from Orlando, FL said:

An honest witness does not deceive,
but a false witness pours out lies.
