Proverbs 17:21
To have a fool for a child brings grief;
there is no joy for the parent of a godless fool.

It pains the heart of a parent to have a child that refuses to accept the teachings and the ways of the Lord.

Oh so true, Renee. We, personally, are blessed with children that are upright, even though some have not made decisions for the Lord, or have fallen away from His fellowship. We pray regularly that they will be awakened.

All three of my daughters have accepted Christ at some time or another but there has been no evidence of any fruit in them. The oldest accepted the Lord when she attended "Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames" and now she is into "Wicca", the middle one accepted the Lord when she was 18 - she is now 41 - very little fruit. She is currently living with a guy. My youngest, accepted the Lord when she was 8. Was very close to the Lord growing up, married a Christian man and had two children. Her husband knows the Bible through and through and uses it as a weapon. After 15 years she left him and it appears like she has left the Lord as well. The heartache a parent feels when they see their children go away from the Lord is awful!

All you can do, Sharon, is pray and count on the Lord. Pro_22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Father, we ask You to draw Sharon's children back to You. Convict their hearts, Lord, and cause them to turn back to the things of the Lord as they were raised to do. Amen

I touch and agree with Lloyd's prayer for your children, Sharomn, but for my children as well, that God's grace and mercy will allow them to see the light and be drawn back to Him while He may yet be found! Scripture says "It is with loving kindness that I have drawn thee!"
