2 Kings 24:9
He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father had done.

I believe we need to be the best examples we can be because our kids and their kids and thier kids kids follow everything that they are taught. We cannot do the saying "do as I say not as I do" because that goes against every good thing we are supposed to be for them. Its "do as I do" and be the best you can be.

2 Kings 23:3
The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord —to follow the Lord and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant.

I pray that I make the same covenant to the Lord to follow the Lord and keep His commandments, statutes and decrees with all my heart and soul forever.

2 Kings 22:2
He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and followed completely the ways of his father David, not turning aside to the right or to the left.

I love this verse because not only does it say that he did right in the eyes of the Lord but it also states that he didnt budge to go either left nor right. perfect way to explain to those who want to straddle both sides of the fence. I use this example all the time when I am trying to bring a family member to Christ, that we cant be black and white its either or, we cant straddle both sides of the fence, we cant go to the altar with nothing in one hand and all our habits that we dont want to let go of in the other hand, we have to be ready to let go of all the bads and be ready to do a complete 180 and walk away from it.

2 Kings 21:6
He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced divination, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.

2 Kings 20:5
"Go back and tell Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, 'This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the Lord.

I absolutely love this story! This is my all time favorite story. It shows Gods love for us. Hezekiah was supposed to die but because he was bold to talk to the Lord in such a manner the Lord saved him. God isnt looking for shy and held back people Hes looking for bold confident people to go out and preach His word. Hes looking for those who can go out and win souls not those who will go out and follow but those who can lead. God looks for boldness and true He looks for availability not ability...

2 Kings 19:22
Who is it you have ridiculed and blasphemed?
Against whom have you raised your voice
and lifted your eyes in pride?
Against the Holy One of Israel!
Against whom have you raised your voice
and lifted your eyes in pride?
Against the Holy One of Israel!

If only the ones out there that treat other people bad and children as well could realize that not only are they treating those people bad but they are also treating God Himself bad because they are His children. I pray Father for all of those who suffer from abuse and harm, I pray God sets them free from the hurt and pain!!!

If we could all just have those examples the world would be a great place to live in. But you see.....we do have that example.....The Lord is our Father and we need to follow Him and His way of living!!!

2 Kings 17:7
All this took place because the Israelites had sinned against the Lord their God, who had brought them up out of Egypt from under the power of Pharaoh king of Egypt. They worshiped other gods

We never stop to think about who will get affected from our sin. Seriously, if we were to stop and think about how many people that would get affected from our "simple" sin would we continue to sin? in general, just naming a common sin, bare with me, adultery!!! if you would stop to think how many people got affected by this sin it would be everyone around you, including your kids and your marriage, and your family getting dissappointed from you even committing the sin because your supposed to be thier leader not even counting your relationship with God Himself. So everyone around you gets affected from your "simple" little sin. I pray that God allows me to stop and think and realize who all would be affected by a sin that I even think about falling for before I even fall for it. I pray He opens my eyes to the wolves in sheep clothing so that I can continue to be the example for my family that I was sent to be!!!

2 Kings 16:2
Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. Unlike David his father, he did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord his God.

2 Kings 15:9
He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, as his predecessors had done. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit.

Can you imagine the wrath of God when it comes to all our sins nowadays! no thank you! Father help me to turn away from all sin and help me to not bring others to commit other sins!!!
