There's always hope, for the government and for individuals. As long as we're still breathing, it's not too late.

Here we see Josiah responding to the word of God. Once he heard it and verified the truthfulness, then he obeyed. He did not waver to the left or the right, his dedication to God showed itself his dedication to God's word. And that dedication led to the restoration of God's people.

Responding to God's word? Josiah teaches us the proper response to God's word, he found the Book of the Law, he was a man who Loved God. Lord help me(us) to respond to your word daily, help us to follow your word directly and completely as possible.

Its refreshing to have a Godly example. The people were not ordered to follow God they saw the Kings example and followed it. This is what we are to do in our lives live it out as an example before the world that we are Gods children leading people to Christ by our example of Christian living. It is also important for Christians to get involved In our free elected society and help leaders with pure Christian values get elected. We need more stong Godly examples in our leadership.

Teachers and leaders have a tremendous responsibility because they are in a position to motivate followers. Those of us who accept responsibilities must act according to biblical mandates so that we reflect and lead as God would have us to. When our allegiance is to God then those in our care will mimic our actions.

We need to, day by day, hour by hour, take stock of our lives before the holy God, and renew our relationship with Him. Walk before Him and be perfect. We are to obey Him, love Him and serve Him with all our hear and all our soul. The righteous God deserves the very best from us. May our desire be to please Him always. Amen.
