Several times in this chapter it states "so was fulfilled what was said through the prophets" or very similiar. So to will the prophecy be fulfilled concerning His second coming, as has always in the past.

These are the decrees, the laws and the regulations that the Lord established at Mount Sinai between himself and the Israelites through Moses.

Even though these verses were meant specifically for Israel, it is telling me that God blesses those who walk with Him and obey Him, but punish those who are disobedient to Him. I would much rather have God's blessing on my life than be discipline by him.

This verse along with the entire chapter tell me that God is very much interested in detail. A person can not help but see that in these verses. When we pray we need to pray in detail to God who is very interested in our details.

The Lord work done in God's way will NEVER lack God's supply. If it is lacking, it is not God's fault it is ours for not handling what God has entrusted to us. We are channels or stewards of what God has given us to pass on to the needs of others.

Oh, that the church today had more people who were willing and whose heart moved them to serve the Lord in their churches and in their communities. Lord help us/me to be more willing and to have a heart that is moved to serve you. Amen.

I am so thankful that the Lord, my Lord, is compassionate and gracious, and loving, and faithful and slow to anger. Where would I be had it not been for His compassion and grace? Praise God!!

My "tent of meeting" is my office where I meet with Jesus and he meets with me and speaks to me through His word each morning, where I surrender to Him and ask Him to lead me through the day.
