Our God does not need anything from us but He looks at our heart. He knows those who give the extras and those who give their all. If He is our Lord and Savior, He deserves our all--our possessions and more than that, our hearts.

There are sincere Christians who are like the teachers of the law that draw attention to themselves and seek honor for themselves. We should be aware of that lest we become one of them. Honor the Lord, our God.

It's so true that we can be more compassionate towards pets and animals than people. However, Jesus saw the misery in the woman and He healed her on the Sabbath. He is Lord of the Sabbath. May we have a comassionate heart like Jesus and not be bound by rules and regulations.

Jesus taught many things but not everyone who heard them obey and follow. It's so easy that after we read or listen to God's Word and just go on to do our own things. True obedience comes with change of heart and course of action.
