Mark 12:44
They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
This poor widow gave of the love of her heart, not from her wealth as the others had, which left her with nothing to live on herself. She gave because of her love for the Lord, and the Lord saw her love and proclaimed that she had given mor than any of the others. Lord, help me to always give from my love for You, and not from my abundance so that I may receive Your blessings in eternity. Amen

This verse means that our life should be 100 percent for Jesus. For me like the widow is not only a matter of money but that our time is to mske God our first priority. Meaning that we do what Jesus did and taught us to do. We don't live for ourselves but bear other people's needs too. The widow gave all she had. It was all her living. Living in this world we need money for our basics. But we need to also sacrifice by lessening our needs in order to help those in need. Amen

Some give to make a show, others give out of feelings of obligation and then others give out of obedience. We are not to do things as a show but as obedience to God.

I am thankful for this example. It helps me to remember that I never have an excuse not to give. It's not about what or how much I have to give but rather a desire to give what I have.

This verse is so powerful to me...While there are many who have the wealth to give to those in need and to pay yout tithes without worry there are many others, like myself, when giving just a few dollars is hard because it is all we may have, but it is then that we should trust in the Lord even more because he is the provider of all things, even our finances. That is the ultimate test in faith, will you give all you have and trust that the Lord that he will give you all you need?

Gi ing God all you have, your trust, faith and belief is what is truly expected of us. This passage does not refer to wealth only, but to our hearts. The more we give, to Him and to those that need, the greater our treasure in Heaven.

Do I give God the changes, the extras or like the widow, her all--all she had to live on? May I remember the example of this widow and how the Lord commended her.
