I find this verse interesting in that even though Jesus is God, here is a verse that tells me that there is something that the Father knows but Jesus does not.

I am thankful for this example. It helps me to remember that I never have an excuse not to give. It's not about what or how much I have to give but rather a desire to give what I have.

When I look out on people who need help or who are hungry, do I hear Jesus telling me, "I have compassion for these people." ? Lord, help me to hear your voice and show your compassion to others in need!

I used to look at this verse and think that "they" were being disobedient and not keeping (obeying) Jeus' command. I now see this verse as evidence that when Jesus works in our lives- it is so overwhelming that we can't and don't want to keep it to ourselves. We want to give him the glory for what he has done!
