2 Chronicles 31:21
In everything that he undertook in the service of God's temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered.

Key words: And so he prospered. Hezekiah succeeded because of his commitment to God, Hezekiah gave him his heart. Hezekiah didn't rely on his own strength. He turned to the one whom nothing is impossible. Hezekiah was always seeking God's will. As Christians today it it is very difficult especially in our society today. But God's word tells us nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1: 37 For no word from God will ever fail. To be successful in Gods Kingdom we need to give Him our heart.

Well expressed Peter, and so true. When we surrender ourselves to God, as Hezekiah did, there is little that we cannot accomplish because we will have God's favor. Your closing Scripture was quite appropriate as we seek to honor Him. God bless you brother in this hot and humid weather. :-)

Throughout the last chapter and this one, we see how king Hezekiah had brought his people back to the honor of the Lord their God. He did his best to follow the commands and laws of the Lord, and in so doing united his people in praise and worship of their God, who allowed Hezekiah and obviously his people to prosper. Lord, again we ask You to turn our national leaders, as well as the people, to honor You, the only true and living God, that we would not have to face Your judgment in fear, but know that You will be pleased. Amen

Amen, Patty, and He blesses those who please Him. I pray that our nations will return to serving the Lord. I also believe that it is the responsibility of those of us in Christ, to act and pray to that effect. God prospers those who seek Him, and we know that we must step up to the plate, so-to-speak. 2Ch 7:14-15 if My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (15) Now My eyes shall be open, and My ears shall be open to the prayer of this place.

What this verse means to me is that Hezekiah is a hard working man and loves to do what is right in God's will. He is like me you always have to do the right thing and good will come to you. Hard work does pay off and through it all you just have to always put God first and look to God at all times! Once you do this your life will have love and meaning faithfulness and peace that God is always with you just like talking to a close friend. We are never alone and through everything we need God every single second, minute, hour, day, month, and year. Put God first and watch your life prosper like how Hezekiah's did! 😇

There is quite a bit to comment on in this chapter. They didn't just leave off with the fun stuff, the celebration, they went further and changed their cities and their lives. They impliminted Gods plan and they were blessed. They were organized with each person giving and doing their best. God loves a heartfelt cheerful giver. We all get caught up in the rules of it and overwhelm ourselves with is this right or wrong when it comes to giving. I think the most important part is that we give with our hearts in the right place and the amount then will be right. When our hearts are right with God everything else seems to be right as well. Hezekiah work and lived wholeheartedly for the Lord and he was blessed.

Everything Hezekiah did while he was king of Judah, including what he did for the temple in Jerusalem, was right and good. He was a successful king, because he obeyed the Lord God with all his heart. He was faithful to the Lord his God as he assigned priests to serve at the Lord temple and providing animals for sacrifices in worshiping the Lord. Therefore God blessed Hezekiah and caused him to prosper. But, thank the Lord, we can see in this chapter that the people who were faithful to the Lord were also blessed by the Lord. The priests and Levites, plus their wives and children who had been faithful in keeping themselves clean and acceptable in order to serve the Lord, were blessed when they received part of an abundant amount of free will offerings given by the ordinary people. The ordinary people were blessed when Hezekiah blessed them and thanked the Lord for the abundant amount of sacrifices the people provided to be given to the priest and Levites so that the priest and Levites will have time to devote themselves to the work of the Lord. Everyone in Judah was blessed by the Lord because they destroyed all the foreign idols in their territory. We also will be blessed and have great success if we faithfully obey the Lord and serve Him with all our hearts. Remember that we are victorious winners in Christ, May we fix our eyes on Jesus, alone. Amen!

This is self evident. Hezekiah and his people honored the Lord in all that was commanded and they were all blessed and prospered. Help us, Lord, to always bless you beginning with our tithe, and honoring You as we live our lives so that You will will be able to fulfill Your commitment to bless and prosper those who bless You. This verse shows me that if you stay in the will of the Lord, HE will provide for all our needs and being obedient to HIM is all he ask of us. Seeking the Lord always first, so that we have a closer walk with HIM. Giving honor, praise and respect to the Lord Almighty in every way, every day and in all that we do. We may not prosper in money or worldly things, but HE will give us what we need. Thank you Lord!
