In everything that he undertook in the service of God's temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly. And so he prospered.

Now listen to me! Send back your fellow Israelites you have taken as prisoners, for the Lord 's fierce anger rests on you."

God used other countries to chastise Judah, but when Israel defeated Judah and acted as the heathen countries--taking slaves and plunder God' s anger was fierce against Israel. God held the same covenant with the divided kingdom--Israel went too far in dealing so harshly with their brethren. This in fact was dishonouring to God.
A reminder that we must treat other members of the church with special consideration and care as they also are honoured and precious in His sight.

But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall. He was unfaithful to the Lord his God, and entered the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.

Pride is like BO everyone has it--keep it under th control of the Spirit by keeping washed in the Word we are so FRAIL connection with the LORD is critical. Like the air we breathe. Holiness is the safest place to be.

Faithfulness is a dynamic characteristic--it is not static. It requires nurture and attention to keep robust. Joash was influenced by 'man' ; a good man and godless people. A warning to be influenced by the Word of God as understood through the witness of the Holy Spirit and by people when the Spirit witnesses to the truth.
