There was great joy in Jerusalem, for since the days of Solomon son of David king of Israel there had been nothing like this in Jerusalem.

Hezekiah had done his best to turn the nation back to the Lord. With Hezekiah's efforts, the Lord in verse 20, even showed mercy upon those who had not been ceremonially cleansed. Hezekiah's efforts to turn his people back to the the worship of the Lord showed great results. Lord, would you give us national leaders around the world who would honor You, and turn their nations back to the fear of the Lord, beginning right hear in our nation.

Good job on this verse Lloyd, you can label this verse as an Old Testament revival, which the church needs today. We are living in some some dark times brother, we see the signs that Jesus spoke about to His disciples. And Jesus over came this Darkness that we are experiencing today. John 8:12 When Jesus spoke again to the people, He said "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Father God awaken the church and revive our hearts.

1: who set their heart on seeking God, 2. He was in covenant with their ancestors.He is faithful and merciful. God is drawn by love to those who seek Him. Hezekiah knew God's character and prayed with confidence. Don't forget Gods character when considering sin in your life or the lives of others.

What a scene! It takes us back to the dedication of the temple. People from all over Judah and Israel together again in Jerusalem worshiping God. It reminds me of the heavenly city, The New Jerusalem, where right now believers are gathered from all over the world around the throne worshiping God and His Son, Jesus Christ. One day we will join them. Oh what a day that will be!
