The world (and sometimes even Israel) is slow to understand that Israel is God's chosen people, and He will move again and again to show His favor to them.

I will make a distinction between my people and your people. This sign will occur tomorrow.' "
Marni I. from Corpus Christi, TX said:
God sets His people apart, the distinction is evident. The Lords people are not subject to this world, they are favored, because they are His chosen. And even more wonderful is that He lets us chose to be His people. We don't have to sit in Egypt and endure the plagues, we can move to Goshen and experience the favor of the Lord. This is mirroring a life with Christ, which takes away sin and moves us into freedom.

Exodus 7:6
Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them.
Marni I. from Corpus Christi, TX said:
Even though they knew they were unable to do these things of themselves, Moses and Aaron were obedient to the word of the Lord. They didn't do "as much as they could" but actually did "just as the Lord commanded them." Obedience is key. When we set out to follow His exact instructions, we will do just as He commands. Not by our own strength, but by His power.

Exodus 6:30
But Moses said to the Lord, "Since I speak with faltering lips, why would Pharaoh listen to me?"
Marni I. from Corpus Christi, TX said:
This "unbelief" is what keeps so many of us silent and still when we hear the Lord say "Speak." "Act." or "Do." We think we must do it of our own puny power and our own human shortcomings. We forever fall short. Instead of realizing the supernatural power of Almighty God is the force by which we speak, act or do His will. When the Lord commands us we are to lay down our pride and put aside our will and trust His will to carry us through.

Marni I. from Corpus Christi, TX said:
This questions echos across time. World leaders to this day deny the Lord and refuse to recognize Israel. It is a resounding warning to their arrogance.

Exodus 4:31
and they believed. And when they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.
Marni I. from Corpus Christi, TX said:
This verse tells me that no matter our circumstance, God cares for us and is aware of the trials we face or the victory we claim! Our attitude should always be one of worship. He made us to worship Him.
