Exodus 33:17
And the Lord said to Moses, "I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name."

God was pleased with Moses and knew his desire was for the Lord to stay with them as they journeyed. It is amazing how this shows that God changed His recourse after being persuaded by Moses, his faithful servant. God knew Moses by name and therefore did not abandon him. When we are obedient and do our best to please the Lord, He is pleased with us. We are written in his book of life and he knows us all by name. When God sees that He can trust us, He will bless us and give us our desires.

Exodus 32:25
Moses saw that the people were running wild and that Aaron had let them get out of control and so become a laughingstock to their enemies.

Aaron was left in charge of the people as a trusted man of God. However, he lacked the leadership qualities to keep the people's faith strong while waiting for Moses to come down from the mountain. He allowed the people to frighten him into worshiping an idol and it eventually led to chaos. This would be an opportune time for any of their enemies to divide and conquer them. There were times in my life where I may have been faced with a decision to worship God but chose to watch television, surf the internet, or even deny the Christ by some of these New Age philosophies with out realizing it. Not worshiping idols is a commandment because God knows our nature and he knows how easily we can be persuaded to stray. I think if you have a strong leader, in your church, for example, you will not be led astray or give the enemy the foothold he needs to divide and conquer your life. You are more and more able to let go and trust God's leadership as you continue to choose to follow Him. Fear is not of God and He asks us to be bold and steadfast in our faith in Him.

Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:

When God calls us to do something for Him, He will provide all that we need including the right people to help you on your path. Sometimes He asks us to do things we can not see ourselves doing and it requires a leap of faith and trust that what God has planned is better than our own plans. When we are obedient to God, we are showing our willingness and faithfulness to follow God's plan for our lives. He doesn't just leave us by the wayside. He will ensure our success if we are willing to walk with Him.

Exodus 29:36
Sacrifice a bull each day as a sin offering to make atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.

This verse is about being obedient to follow closely what the Lord has directed. In order to purify the altar they must make atonement for their sins and anoint the altar. By sacrificing a bull each day as a sin offering they are being obedient and showing in their actions that they are repentant. I think it's also about following through once you have decided that you are sorry for your sins. Taking actions that God has called you to take. God is saying do this and I will make it right. It shows that we must be willing to follow God's instruction and trust in him.
