Exodus 31:6
Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him. Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you:

God gives us all gifts and talents. The question is do we use those gifts for His glory? "There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work." 1 Corinthians 12:4-6)

God has given all believers talents and spiritual gifts He expects all of us to use those gifts for ministering to others for His honor and glory! The question is that are we doing with our gifts, hoarding them or sharing them with others?

Oholiab was appointed to be a helper. Sometimes in our jobs or in our ministry we would rather be be mediocre at the top postition rather than be excellent as the helper. So many people have the gifts of helps but only do it half heartedly. Whatever position we have or whatever job we are called to do, let us do unto the Lord with all our heart. i think too many people leave one ministry to start their own minstry because they are not satisfied being second fiddle and not because God has called them.

It's great to know God knows his people! And he gives them the ability to do what he wants. How often do we do things in our own power and mess it up. If we rely on God and his power to fill us, and do the job he intended, we would be so much better off.

we need to remember that every talent that we have is not given to us by chance. We are to use them for good in God's glory!! For he has given them to us and He has a plan for us to follow!

It's interesting thought that we may have the skill (skilled workers to make everything) but have we been given the ability (authority) "I have commanded you" to exercise that skill. And are we using our "skill" (talents) to support the manifestation of someone else' dream or vision..."I have appointed Oholiab...to help him. Also the skilled workers to make everything...I have commanded you".
God will bring us the support we need to accomplish the job that HE has established for us. And we must be willing to be part of the supporting cast of someone else' vision.

When God calls us to do something for Him, He will provide all that we need including the right people to help you on your path. Sometimes He asks us to do things we can not see ourselves doing and it requires a leap of faith and trust that what God has planned is better than our own plans. When we are obedient to God, we are showing our willingness and faithfulness to follow God's plan for our lives. He doesn't just leave us by the wayside. He will ensure our success if we are willing to walk with Him.

God is stating that skills and talents come from Him and that they are to serve His purposes. And the skill He has given them is sufficient fo the task at hand. A follower of God cannot say, I am not capable of whjta God has set be for me.

God always equips His people to do His bidding. There is though, the willingness of His people to submit to His gifting and obey. They also cannot abuse those gifts. As we get blessed with a spiritual gift, and then exercise it over a period of time, we can learn to use it without trusting in the Lord. It translates into a natural skill rather than a spiritual anointing. O God, keep us from this!
