God calls to his people and wants to welcome them, regardless of where they are now. Let everyone you know that they can turn to the Lord. Jesus loves them no matter what their past. He is our Lord of the future. And a bright future at that.

So true, Henry, and quite often those who have come out of the worst backgrounds and past turn out to be the best promoters of the gospel. I have seen it several times. I have a personal friend who drove 1500 miles to make a drug deal and got radically saved, dumped all his drugs, disposed of his alcohol and quit his martial arts training. He is the most in your face evangelist and caring helpful person I know. He's not the least bit timid when it comes to sharing his faith and professing Christ. He's only one of several I've met but this one is a personal friend.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Lord, I ask You to bring peace and revelation of Your love for our brother, Henry. We know it is never Your intent to harm us but at times You allow us to go through trials. I ask that you would bring a conclusion to Henry's trials and that he will benefit from what You allow him to go through. I ask for wisdom to be given to him for how to deal with his struggles. Show Yourself to Henry, Lord. Amen
