Genesis 29:35
She conceived again, and when she gave birth to a son she said, "This time I will praise the Lord." So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.

After the birth of Leah's first three sons she was seeking her husband's love but now she realized despite what her husband thought of her, she was loved by God. Despite our circumstances we can always praise the Lord for nothing can separate us from the love of God.

I wonder how Rachel felt not being able to conceive, even though Jacob loved her it must have been difficult for her to see Leah with 4 sons. Did Jacob have to keep Leah for his wife could she not find someone to love? Even though Leah had 4 sons it was still probably not a good feeling to know she was not loved.

Even in the normal routines of life, God is preparing big things - in the life of Leah, who is the mother of Judah from whom the "blood" line of Jesus will come. And in our lives as well if we learn and listen to God's Spirit and Word. Lord, help me this year to hear Your Word, and do it!
