I today's world, the only hope we have is in Christ. As most of you know, we just had our federal elections here in Canada and the most honorable leader we have had in generations, Stephen Harper, was defeated. Mr. Harper supported Israel and balanced the budget two years in a row, and yet, the takers overthrew him for a leader who says he is going to borrow and put us further in debt rather than work to get us out of debt. Canada was recently rated as the number one best country in the world to live in and Mr, Harper has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. Yet he was thrown out. Lord, have mercy and bring Your people to our knees on behalf of our nation. Amen

I believe there are some very difficult days ahead, BUT; Rev 13:7-10 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (8) And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (9) If any man have an ear, let him hear. (10) He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Heavenly Father, the God of Hope, may we not lean on our own understanding, but place all trust in you. Lord as we face the day, may we remember your thoughts toward us are of peace and not of evil. Lord, fill us with the Joy of the Lord, which is our strength and eternal peace which is given from Jesus Christ. My our hearts overflow with your hope by the power of th Holy Spirit. This is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. It is uplifting, comforting, assuring. I use this verse to pray for others also.

This verse expresses the state of mind which allows us to overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit when you trust in God that He is the God of Hope and He will fill you beyond your capacity with the hope of a future beyond this life that will ultimately bring us the greatest joy and peace of all.

I tryt to practice this everyday. It's hard sometimes with so much that we all go through, but "overflowing" is mre than enough, and I pray the Holy Spirit will supply this hope. Amen
