Unless the Lord builds the house,
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.
the builders labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the guards stand watch in vain.

I have read that verse many times in my 75 years, but tonite it hits me that UNLESS the LORD is in our labors, WE work for nothing.(vain). that is very hard hitting.
I am about to start a new ministry, and I have known that I need GOD in it with me, and this points that out very distinctly..Thank You Father/ Jesus

Unless we allow the Lord to control our lives, we are wasting our time, for He is the rewarder of those who follow His commands. Help me, (us) Lord, to walk according to Your desire, for without You leading my (our) lives, I (we) accomplish nothing of value. Amen

This says to me that unless we have the Lord in every aspect of our lives, there is no hope for us. Help us Lord to bring You back into our homes and our nations and honor Your commands as our forefathers did when this North American continent was settled. Amen

Whatever we are doing if we don't have GOD in it then it is a waste of time. GOD must be in everything we do in order to succeed.

Michael R. from Somewhere said:
Human efforts can only go so far. Our arms are too short. We walk tightrope of life, but no amount of skill or caution can keep us from falling off. God is our safety net, and the only thing stopping us from plunging to our doom. No goal can be achieved without God's help. All our work, if God is not involved, is worthless. We can run the marathon, but without God we're likely to pass out from, exhaustion just short of the finish line. Trying to accomplish something without God is like trying to get somewhere by running on a hamster's wheel. God picks up where we fall short, and completes us.

When I first became a Christian I was determined to "serve" the Lord. I was going to be special! I was finally going to be accepted. It was all about me and what I was going to do. I set myself up for a big fall! I bought into the "name it, claim it" thought and basically saw God as my "sugar daddy".
Thank God that my "house" fell to smithereens for it was built on sand. I am now in a position to let the Lord build the house as He wills.

Psalm 127:1 - When an adult has a project like painting the living room and young children help, it doesn’t matter how much effort and hard work the kids put into it, unless the adult paints the living room…there is going to be a big mess. However, if the adult does paint the living and the children help (and the adult cleans up) they can rejoice together at the finished product. Whatever we do in our own strength or our own way is sure to fail. We are called to do our best and give God the rest. We must let the Lord direct our steps. If we go into a Jehovah Witness hall during their service and try to witness to them without the Lord sending us….there is going to be a big mess. We need to take our marching orders from the Lord and we will have victory. He who plans is nothing and he who waters is nothing, but it is God that gives the increase. Didn’t Jesus say, apart from me, you can do very little………..NO, He didn’t say that! Jesus said, apart from me…YOU CAN DO NOTHING. Father in Heaven, help me to keep my eyes fixed on You. Help me to tune out the voices of world, my flesh and the devil and like one of Your sheep, know Your voice and heed Your call. For without You, i can do nothing.
