Isaiah 65:1
"I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
To a nation that did not call on my name,
I said, 'Here am I, here am I.'

Isaiah 65:1 – Did I find God or did God find me. Some people say God found me, others say I found the Lord. How can God be lost? There have been times when my glasses are on my head and I am looking all over for them. Does that mean they are lost? In some ways I have been seeking the Lord all my life. But when I got saved it was if I was running looking down at my own feet and BAMB I found the Lord. It was like running into a brick wall, I fell down on my face. I found the Lord when I was not seeking Him. He revealed Himself to me. You can share the Gospel to someone who has heard it a million times but unless the Lord reveals Himself to them they will never get it. I was sharing Christ with a young woman a couple days ago. She was clearly not interested, she was not seeking the Lord, but it would have been rude for her to ask me to leave her house. Somewhere in the middle of it, don’t ask me where, God revealed Himself to her. She suddenly was interested and said she needed someone to guide to God. Then she didn’t want me to leave. It was so cool to see God switch on a light. Is it election or free will? I see scriptures on both side therefore, I believe it is too big for our minds to comprehend. If I had to be on one side or the other I would say election because I know God chose me, I was too stupid to choose Him. Either way, I am His and He is mine, now and forever. Thank You Father for call out to me and thank You for opening up my ears, my eyes and my heart to You. I am forever grateful. ♫ You did not wait for me to draw near to You ♫ But You clothed Yourself with frail humanity ♫ You did not wait for me to cry out to You ♫ But You let me hear Your Voice calling me♪ And I'm Forever Grateful to You ♪I'm Forever Grateful for The Cross♪ I'm Forever Grateful to You That You came to seek and save the lost ♫

Nancy, I truly believe God finds us. Especially after your story both about your salvation and the girl you witnessed to. I sure wasn't looking for God when He found me.

There are people whom I know that others think I am wasting my time continuing to pray for. Others say, 'they will never change'. Yet, I will never give up hope. I have seen positive changes in some whom others think I waste my time praying for. But it is not up to 'others', it is up to God & His timing. I also believe that prayer is NEVER a waste of time.

Yes, Brooke, as long as there's breath, there's hope for repentance and salvation.

It means to me that God is making himself available to me, and that I have a choice to accept him, or reject him. He is saying I am here for you, all I have I have to do is believe, and trust in him. You know I have had trouble with the phrase "Trust God" now since I have been studying with you all, I now understand it is merely saying trust the Word of God for it is the truth.

Yes, Catherine, in the beginning was The Word (Jesus) and the Word was with God and the Word WAS God. And the Word became flesh and came to dwell among us full of grace and truth. Jesus is God and Jesus is the Word. Psalm 138:2 says He exalts His word above His name. We can't just trust some etherial God of in the heavens somewhere. We Trust His Word. He is among every jot and tittle in His Word. Also we can't trust someone we don't know. We get to know God by studying His Word. We're so glad you're here and hope you continue to keep coming back. God bless.
