We can approach the Throne of Grace with confidence now, because God no longer sees us as sinners, but as Sons, because of Jesus.

I may think that I have backslidden so far that I don't have the right to go to God... But if I will listen to God's Word of mercy, and not satan's (which tries to kill and destroy by filling my thoughts that I am not worthy), then I will be able to face God with confidence while asking for His forgiveness and grace. So in my time of need, I come to God holding on to the faith and ask Him to help me with my weakness.

Because of God's grace, I know that He will never leave or forsake me, that I can always come to Him, no matter the circumstance. It is on this basis that I may rest in the finished work of my Lord and Savior.

What greater time of the need for Grace than that time when we shall stand before the Throne of God and account for our days? What confidence can I have in my own righteousness? Not much! Who can claim a righteous "batting average" of 1000 or 100%, except for Jesus? My confidence is in Him who has granted me my spiritual inheritance of righteousness. That spirit in me that communes with, and partakes of His Holy Spirit is the new creation in me. Praise His Holy name!

Jesus's death tore the curtain in the temple from top to bottom as a symbol that we no longer need to be fearful but to come boldly and confidently before God and ask Him for anything. We will receive mercy and grace in our times of need and endless love from our Father. Thank you Jesus for making the way clear to God's throne.

This is something we can do and should do each day. Forgive me Lord for anything I have said or done that is not of You. Cleanse me and purify my heart. May Christ live His life in me by His Spirit.
