When an anointed prophet of the Lord, like Elisha speaks, it is best that we listen and follow His commands, just as Jehu did at the words he received from Elisha. God has a plan, and His plan is always just, and beneficial to those who follow Him.

This verse means a lot more than what others think...this verse proves that no matter what, Gods word will prevail. Gods word will not go unnoticed, no matter what, His word will pass, whatever He says is going to happen will happen no matter what it is that's why we need to remember His promises to us as long as we are living righteously. No matter what trials and tribulations we are facing, He has everything in His hand and has it all under control because of His promises to us.

Every thing Elijah and Elisha predicted came true to the exact detail. God is not mocked. What one sows, they reap. But God is so merciful, He predicted this 14 yrs earlier. Jezebel saw all these miracles and prophecies fulfilled, and still didn't repent. God never let my heart get hard where I don't see what you're doing and repent when You call me to do so.
