Another example of healing faith. The man believed (knew) that Jesus could heal him He asked and he received. That's the kind of faith that is required from each of us.

Then he said to him, "Rise and go; your faith has made you well."

It's about faith. You have to believe it to receive it. Just like the woman with the issue of blood. Deep inside her innermost she believed without a doubt that if she could touch the fringe of the shawl that Jesus wore she would be healed.

Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
Amen, Steve, and I continue to ask Him fro a greater measure of faith, just as the woman you mention here. God bless.

Christ followers are adopted children in the family of God. As such God promises to always be with us, to never leave us. Also as children of the most high God we are heirs to God's kingdom.

Amen, Steve. He is so patient, even if we drift off the path, He's always patient and striving to get us back. An excellent example was Peter's testimony in this chapter. God bless, Steve.

You have to be willing to be disliked, scorned, by those close to you. You have to be willing to turn and walk away from those dear and close to you when they begin to challenge you and your desire to turn away from things of the world and follow Jesus.

To me, Karin, Jesus is just stressing the point that Jesus (God) must come first, above and beyond anything else, even our own family or our own lives. I would like to see this verse in the Hebrew language, or, even the Greek.. I expect it would be much clearer as to what it means. As a matter of fact, I ave a missionary friend who has studied and even teaches the Bible in Greek where she is and I'll contact her and see how she translates it. Message me back and I'll hold your response until I hear back from her. God bles you sister.

This is a must, followed by a promise. Try putting everything other than God first and see how well it prospers. Afterward try placing God first and let everything else follow; then enjoy the blessings of a caring Father.
