So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done.

He disobeyed the Lord by marrying foreign wives they led him to false gods,he did evil .The Lord was angry with him. Means ,we do not go against the commands the Lord gives us.

Solomon had prayed for wisdom ,God honored him and placed Solomon on the throne of Israel.God worked through Solomon to maintain justice and righteousness.God will work through His obedient children .As a born again child of God my prayer for wisdom to follow through God's purpose in my life. Romans 8:28 comes to mind.

It is comforting to read scriptures such as these and see the faithfulness of God.in ch 8: Solomon made a confession that all the words promised came to pass. His nature is He cannot lie,whatever He promises He will do.We are encouraged.to be obedient to The word.

There significancy is intimated in the names given them.Jachin--he will establish;Boaz ----in him is strength.we depend upon God for strength in all we do.When we come to wait upon God, and find our hearts wandering and unfixed, then by faith we ask the Lord to help us :
Jachin_God will fix this roving mind. Boaz- in Him is our strength,who works in us both to will and to do.I will go in the strength of the Lord God.

The Lord gave Solomon. Wisdom just as He promised him, and He will do the same for us, when we seek Him for wisdom,then God will give us rest on every side to do thing He wants to do through us. It is important to pray for wisdom.
