1 Kings 10:9
Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord 's eternal love for Israel, he has made you king to maintain justice and righteousness."

Was it out of etiquette, or was the queen truly grateful to Solomon's God? We know that God has been able to reach "foreigners" throughout time. Perhaps the most famous might be the Magi that visited Jesus when He was a young child. God is able to draw all people. No one is beyond hope. Jesus has sent us to the very ends of the Earth with the Good News of our Saviour. He didn't leave us with any exceptions. We are not to judge, we are simply called to share a story like never before, and like lives depend on it, because they do.

The Queen of Sheba saw Solomon's wealth and success as having come from God. Do people see my life in a similar way? Probably not, but I can strive for that. Not that I should desire to be king or desire wealth, but I should desire to represent justice and righteousness. I hope people would look upon my life and think , Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you.

Solomon's wisdom impressed the queen more than all his gold and possessions. God chose Solomon to be king over his brother and with this he gave him knowledge and wisdom as long as he followed God's commands.

The phrase here that captured my attention "Because of the Lord 's eternal love for Israel," is one that the world should remember. This past week the UN, said that Israel must make a concession, that it no longer could use the temple mount in Israel and had no claim to the wailing wall and were to cease any building in the west bank. This was allowed to pass because US president Obama did not send delegation to the UN to veto it. I believe he will stand in judgment for such an act of betrayal against Israel. I pray he alone is held accountable and not America as a nation, because I believe the large majority of American people stand with Israel. Lord, I pray Your judgment will be righteous and not effect those in America who stand with and love Israel. Amen

The Queen of Sheba after seeing the splendor of Solomon's kingdom and hearing his wisdom gave all the praise to the Lord. God gives us spiritual gifts and material possessions and we need to always be thankful to Him and give Him the praise for all He graciously gives to us!

Solomon had prayed for wisdom ,God honored him and placed Solomon on the throne of Israel.God worked through Solomon to maintain justice and righteousness.God will work through His obedient children .As a born again child of God my prayer for wisdom to follow through God's purpose in my life. Romans 8:28 comes to mind.
