What is it that God remembered of David? The good that he had done, not his mistakes. Now, we're saved by grace, only through Christ, but we can still take further comfort in God's eternal Word: "You will be merciful to us once again. God clearly was not expecting Solomon to be perfect because we know David had many faults but god expected his heart to be in the right place. Everyone makes mistakes it the rise after the fall that matters. Can you pick yourself up and get right with God and acknowledge your sins or are you just staying in your sin?
