So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done.

He disobeyed the Lord by marrying foreign wives they led him to false gods,he did evil .The Lord was angry with him. Means ,we do not go against the commands the Lord gives us.

This is where it gets confusing to me. David confessed and repented when it was declared to him that he had sinned but Solomon obviously just carried on in his sin, so to me he would be rejected by God and not see heaven. I refer to Rev 2:5 where it says He will remove their candlestick unless they repent. My thoughts.
