Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Timothy V.
Timothy V. from Arlington, TX said:
God gives us these promises and assurances repeatedly in the Bible, isn't it wonderful. I guess he has to repeat himself so much because we are weak and tend to fret and worry about so many things. That is why daily Bible reading and prayer, strengthening your relationship with God is so important in life. Never forget God's promises.

Oh so true, Timothy. The more we are in His word, the more assurance we gain of His love and support.

Amen! We forget so easily and need to be reminded of His love. The best way to hear from God is to read His Word. There are too many unread bibles in this world.

Isaiah 33:2
Lord, be gracious to us;
we long for you.
Be our strength every morning,
our salvation in time of distress.

This is how I start my days, when you awake you must think upon the Lord to set the mood of the day. As morning exercise gets the blood flowing so prayer and thoughts of the Lord gets the spiritual juices flowing to help you through your day in this world that is often times distressful and rough.

Isaiah 32:5
No longer will the fool be called noble
nor the scoundrel be highly respected.
Timothy V.
Timothy V. from Arlington, TX said:
Is this referring to the world as it is? Those who call themselves the leaders and the doers are but fools who look and point to worldly things as their substance of righteousness. These people are labeled noble in their perceived works and respected by their positions and stations in the world. How they use our God for their own ends while deceiving the weak in Christ. The days are numbered and great are those who trust in the word of God and are not led astray. It is easy to be caught up in the world, our daily struggles are sometimes overwhelming but you must stand fast and not be deceived by those who would sway you in this life for their own ends. As Paul says, test all things and choose the right, everything else is but folly and foolishness that will pass away.

Well stated Timothy. Today the world has, for the most part, put God in a box and shelved Him but He is bigger and stronger than any box and is very soon to blow the box open and jump off the shelf the world has put Him on. Come Holy Spirit and move upon this world that has tried to think they can do without You. Amen

Isaiah 30:10
They say to the seers,
"See no more visions!"
and to the prophets,
"Give us no more visions of what is right!
Tell us pleasant things,
prophesy illusions.

Many times I have visited my mother in law's church only to come away disillusioned. The service and sermons only give a feel good statement. Pleasant words to the people, no growth, static. You are good and righteous, better than others who need the saving grace of Christ. My church home while growing up was more broad and to the point, no illusions. We are all sinners and no one is good, thus the saving grace. Many churches now follow this feel good philosophy and I believe it is detrimental to the proper growth of the Christian. You must face your sins and shortcomings in order to grow in Christ. The world needs this more than ever and Christians must here the truth, be joyful of your life in Christ but don't be lulled into the false feel good better than others way of thinking.

Oh, how right you are Timothy, and so many churches are in that "make 'em feel comfy" message mode and many will perish if those churches don't start speaking truth and repentance and call people to truly walking in obedience. I grew up in one of those churches and was in my early 40s before I heard the truth preached and responded. God bless you, Timothy.

I agree with both of you, if churches today were preaching the uncompromising word of God today, we wouldn't be worrying about Islam, LGBT, agenda 21 or any of the other issues we're dealing with today. Welcome to our forum, Timothy glad you're here, hope you keep coming back
