1 Corinthians 11:31
But if we were more discerning with regard to ourselves, we would not come under such judgment.
Lyne M. from Blainville, QC said:
Without becoming complacent and "tolerant" of what the world has become today, I think it's important to be careful when we want to make a point about our Lord. If we want others to receive Him as their Lord and savior, we ought to genuinely represent who He is and stop "throwing the book" at them. A year ago or so, I had sent a letter to one of my kid's friends because he had gone to a place that is definitely not where he should be, telling him off about his friends and so on. The result...a very angry kid who at the time never wanted to be our daughter's friend. He has come back ever since (after a few months) and still has to be convicted for some of the things he does but we continue praying for him and his family (His work already has started in that family). In my PTL devotional of today (214) it implies to be "respected" for being someone known to get down on our knees and that's exactly what I want to do, lest I'd be judged as much as I judge others...

Exodus 32:22
"Do not be angry, my lord," Aaron answered. "You know how prone these people are to evil.
Lyne M. from Blainville, QC said:
in other words, Aaron was kind of saying that what had just happened was not his fault. "The devil made me do it!! We all tend at some point or another to shift the blame on something other than the root cause of our disobedience. Our rushing into reacting to a given situation will put us in deeper predicament than we were before. Until we learn to listen more closely to the voice of God before we take our actions further, we will face the consequences dearly, sometimes with no turning back. The choice is ours to wait on the Lord because we know that His plans are always the best!

Exodus 29:36
Sacrifice a bull each day as a sin offering to make atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.
Lyne M. from Blainville, QC said:
That verse made me wonder how groups like PETA for instance would react today if those practices were still going on...We are so blessed to be able to come to the throne of God without having to sacrifice anything every day. It is unfortunate that people today will raise their concerns for animal rights, women's rights, pro this, pro that, and the list goes on, but will not proclaim openly His name so that all may hear. Thank you for allowing us to come to you freely, no need to bring an offering every day. Thank you for that freedom to praise and worship you any time, any where.
