Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' "

Similar to Matt 4:4 I must include verses 5-10 in my comments. What do all these verses mean to me ; First after having fasted Jesus the man was weakened physically and to some degree mentally being lack of any nourishment can cause one to lose focus, anyhow Jesus demonstrates even in weakness faith can be strong including obedience to the Father. Secondly Jesus has shown us the importance of being well rooted in the word of which stated in all His responses " It is written....'.
You see it's vital to all believers to study and meditate on the word daily that way when ever such temptation is brought upon us we are ready at all It is written that we fight not against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers of darkness and rulers of heavenly realms for our weapons of warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down of strong holds. Whether we accept it or not we are a part of Gods army and are at war with satan and his kingdom.

Matthew 2:11
On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

The fact that upon arrival these Magi already had great reverence for Christ the king of kings. The Magi otherwise known as either wise men or kings from the east in either case they honored the son of God , the true king with the most valuable gifts of the time. You see God who is all knowing planned it that way because how would Joseph and Mary be able to survive or provide for themselves and Jesus if not for these treasures from which all their needs were financed. Praise God who supplies all our needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus.!

Matthew 1:19
Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
Leslie H. from Orlando, FL said:
Though his faith was in the law he was a man of compassion and did not want to disgrace Mary and signifies a struggle between his love for her and faith toward the law. Perhaps to take time to consult with the Lord first if so he later got his answer.
