Titus 3:8
This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

Whenever I feel weak and defeated, If find it helpful to look back at who I was once, and who am I now in Christ. Keeping in mind that my salvation is not affirmed by how I feel but by the power of the one who promised, I draw consolation and strength from His word so that I can move on doing what is good in His sight knowing that I need not earn my salvation over and over but rather bear it fruits in my life.

God's word is as double edged sword intended to surgically cleanse the believer of filthy snares that takes root in the flesh through sin. In today's political correctness culture, some preachers and stewards of the Word deliver softened version of messages in order not to offend. Result, sympathizers who are soft in the faith.

But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

When we commit ourselves to the work of the ministry, situations does not always go without hardship. We are blessed with good mountaintop episodes, as well as challenging times. By the grace of God we are encourage and commanded to endure. Not compromising the purity of the Gospel and staying true to the message we seek to sow.
