He replied, "The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see."

To me it signifies how Jesus often works with the new believer. The mud is a symbol of the physical reality of the man's blindness. Like a modern day operation. The command to go to Siloam, a test of the blind man's faith, for at anytime on his way he could have doubted and not went. As if being blind wasn't enough of an excuse not to travel. Finally, the washing signifying a baptism. Being made clean and new for the glory of GOD.

This is why I believe in Jesus. This is how I have came to be born again. This is where I find forgiveness of sins past, present and future. It is the Father's will that we have eternal life and there is no other way to eternal life but through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.
