Psalms 50:23
Those who sacrifice thank offerings honor me,
and to the blameless I will show my salvation."
and to the blameless I will show my salvation."
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
And the blameless are those who have put their belief and faith in Jesus Christ, Creator of heaven and earth, Who gave His life at the cross of Calvary for the sake of those who believe and trust in Him. Thank You, Lord, for the price you paid for my/our lives, that we might believe in You, our Savior. Amen.

God is shown in this Psalm to have everything, control everything and needs nothing but He will honor those who are thankful to and honor Him. The most important way we can honor Him is to show our thankfulness to Him for what He has done for us through giving us His son, Jesus Christ, as a ransom for our sins. That is the only way we can be shown blameless is by accepting His gift of salvation through Jesus, as there is not one righteous on their own accord. Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: (11) There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. (12) They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. Thank You, Lord, for Your gift of salvation and eternal life for those who confess and repent of their sins and receive Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives. Amen

I'm guessing that the Israelites were going thru all the motions of bringing in their sacrifices and such, but were lukewarm at best. They had gotten self righteous and thought God owed them. But God was basically saying He was ready to spew them out, just like Jesus said in revelation. Shows that human nature hadn't changed from the time this Psalm was written to revelation, and it's pretty much the same nowadays. People come to church, put their money in the basket and the church owes them just the right music, not too loud, the pastor better not preach too much on sin, and he better not go over too long. Then out spews the frozen chosen living dead that overwhelms the local restaurants with large parties that demand excellent service and maybe a 10% tip, if the server is lucky. Then go into the work world where they conduct business just like the rest of the world, lying, cheating etc. Then we wonder why the world looks at us with such contempt and wants no part of this Jesus we profess. Papa God, show me where I'm doing these things and feeling self righteous and/or that You owe me anything. Because if You payed me according to what I owed, I'd be burning in hell right now.
