Psalms 5:3
In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.

My day is much more purposeful when I start the morning in prayer with God. Concentrating on his word and relying on his direction. It seems giving my morning to God that my mind comes back to it throughout the day pushing me to focus on God and how Jesus would handle himself in situations that come my way.

David prayed in the mornings. We should start our day in prayer, thanking God that we are blessed to live one more day and asking him to walk with us through whatever the day brings us.

I believe, expectantly, is a key word in this verse. When we pray we need to have faith that He WILL answer. Thank You, Lord, that we can trust in You to provide an answer to our prayers. Amen

This verse has meaning to me, because God kept me as I slept in the very image of death through the night. He sustained my breath of life to awaken me to consciousness of this life reality. Meaning that I woke-up in my right mind. Rising this morning with a song of joy and peace in my heart that God watches over me and protects me at night as well as my course during this day that He has made. "Rejoice, again I say rejoice".

We are going to get fat this summer as the Psalms should take us close to the end of August. Father, teach us to pray and reflect on Your awesome Majesty.
