Psalms 32:5
Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, "I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord."
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.

We can't just acknowledge or recognize our sin we must admit it or confess it to the Lord. Thank you God for the hope and forgiveness of the cross. Let my heart be renewed in your spirit that I confess my sin with an honest heart and be forgiven.

1John 1:9  "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Then there needs also to be repentance, turning away from our sins. Luke 13:3  "I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

Amazing to think that the God who created all that exists would be willing to die on the cross of Calvary to pay the price for my (our) sins. Such an awesome, gracious God we serve. God bless you brother.

Valerie M. from Flint, MI said:
There are times that we do things or make choices where we feel less close to God. When we confess, and turn from our wicked ways, God hears and forgives. It seems hard to realize that God loves us. He knows we will sin. He wants us to acknowledge and confess. Confession is the main thing. I thank God for forgiveness.

Yes, Valerie, our sin is no surprise to our Papa God. He's seen it all and is sooooo patient and loving.
