Having difficulty relating to this Psalm right now. I can see how David trusted , loved and praised the Lord while having to deal with conflict and battles all around him but what about those people (in Iraq who are believers) who are not trained to fight and have no weapons and are being slaughtered by their enemy ... how do they cope? How can they continue to praise you? Lord give them courage and strength and may they rest in you even as they die trusting you O Lord. Give us what we will need if we ever have to go though such difficult times of persecution. I pray for your children Lord. Take your revenge of their enemies. We win in the end.

Often I view God who sits in heaven ruling the world from a judges table! This verse destroys this, He is MY loving God... Who loves me. The one who is able to be my fortress and stronghold! Thank you for loving me!
