Proverbs 2:12
Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men,
from men whose words are perverse,
Roger P.
Roger P. from Schroon Lake, NY said:
It is so easy to walk with the world, we live here but it is not our home. Wisdom, which truly and only comes from God is what will save us from wicked men! Do I ask the Lord to give me daily direction to know whom to spend time with and who not to? One way to know which men I ought to spend time with is - what words flow from their mouth? Help me to use only Words that are Glorifying to you God - and that my company would be pleasing to you as I seek wisdom from YOU!

Psalms 147:11
the Lord delights in those who fear him,
who put their hope in his unfailing love.
Roger P.
Roger P. from Schroon Lake, NY said:
God is not looking for those who bring great resumes and great popularity to Him, but the humble - the ones who see Jesus bigger than themselves... Help me to recognize that without Jesus I am nothing! With Jesus I have everything and my identity is found in him. When we are humble we find out hope in Him, and His unfailing love... So much here in these phrases, being humble before The Lord, fearing him, finding hope in him, his unfailing love! Wow!

Roger P. from Schroon Lake, NY said:
What a great reminder! To praise The Lord all my life... Moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day, week by week, and year by year... Eternal praise begins with every moment praise! Today Jesus we praise you in everything!

Psalms 145:4
One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
Roger P.
Roger P. from Schroon Lake, NY said:
Being a father this is such a great reminder. I have the responsibility to share Gods mighty works from this generation to the next. This chapter is so full of Gods promises to us! What a joy to know we have His Word to guide us and teach us, so we can teach future generations that The Lord is good!

Psalms 144:2
He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer,
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.
Roger P.
Roger P. from Schroon Lake, NY said:
Often I view God who sits in heaven ruling the world from a judges table! This verse destroys this, He is MY loving God... Who loves me. The one who is able to be my fortress and stronghold! Thank you for loving me!

Psalms 143:10
Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God;
may your good Spirit
lead me on level ground.
Roger P.
Roger P. from Schroon Lake, NY said:
I love the idea of God teaching me His will, and the Spirit of God leading me on level ground. Life does have its ups and down - but the spirit of God can keep us on level ground. Learning the will of God starts by me being willing to be taught and led. It takes the spirit of God to use the Word of God to show me the Will of God!

Amen Roger. The Spirit has led me into a wilderness phase. And I am so thankful for it. I am very grateful to God. I, too, am willing to be taught and led. I have moved away from my family and career and have submitted to God to allow Him to strip me of all the things of the world I have "put on". As I was sitting and looking at the waves of the ocean, I heard the Spirit speak to me. And I saw a great picture which gave me great clarity. I have been meditating on Hebrews 4 concerning God's rest and learning to rest in peace (which is Christ Himself). The picture/ vision i saw was when the Spirit led Jesus into the "wilderness" (Matthew 4). I used to think this is where the enemy was offering Jesus stuff. But then with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, He showed me something I never saw before. The enemy didn'f offer Jesus stuff at all, only suggestions. Suggestions for Jesus to take matters into His own hands and to follow His own will and not the will of God. This new insight helped me to see myself and my relationship with the Holy Trinity and the enemy. It allowed me to see how much I followed my own will and where it has led me. Now, as the Spirit has led me into the "wilderness" I see it is not meant to be a place of lack and dispair as I had always thought; but instead, a place of complete peace, complete rest in God. This place is where the enemy is revealed so I can see him clearly without distractions. I can hear him more clearly. In the wilderness, I can hear the voice of the Spirit and see the hand of God as I humbly submit to His will. This is what Jesus did. He allowed God to teach Him to do His will and He demonstrated that God is His Father. And He allowed God's good Spirit to lead Him on level ground. And because of this Jesus was about to receive the gifts of meekness and humility with open arms. This too is what I seek and am thankful that God has given them to me. I am in receive mode. So thankful to God, for this word of encouragement and guidance. Thank you Roger for sharing.

Well put, as Donna said, Roger and Veronica. I chose the same verse, Roger, and stated that I have just completed reading John Bevere's book; "Fear of The Lord" for the third time. Got more each time. I believe He's tuning us all for what's ahead, the final harvest before His return. God bless all.

Ya, it's kinda weird, Nancy, because once they get it to be able to post, it posts all the ones I attempted to post, so they must just get hung up in the system somewhere and when they get it fixed, they all post, even the ones I tried two or three times. God bless.

Psalms 142:7
Set me free from my prison,
that I may praise your name.
Then the righteous will gather about me
because of your goodness to me.
Roger P.
Roger P. from Schroon Lake, NY said:
The writer in a very difficult time recognizes that he is surrounded by troubled times. He is troubled, he is alone and is crying out to God! I love the idea of set me free my prison.... We each have something that overwhelms us.. That can consume us! Mine is worry about the future and not having the answers.. And has stolen my ability to praise His name! Help me to praise you! Tear the bars off this prison by finding my all in you!
