Psalms 125:2
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.
Lloyd S.
Lloyd S. from Trenton, ON said:
Such an encouraging word of assurance, that God will never forsake those who follow Him. Thank You, Lord, for Your word of encouragement, to know that You are there for us, even in difficult times, Your promise holds true, that You will never leave nor forsake us. Amen

This is true even if his people do not love the Lord back. His love endures forever.

Just as Jerusalem is surrounded by the mountains for protection, so are GOD' s people surrounded by GOD. The LORD is all around his people daily every second. He is here with us and he is in Israel at this very second surrounding his people and protecting them.

So true Bonnie, Our Go is omnipresence – Psalm 139 - Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.

Yes, Bonnie and Nancy that Psalm lines up with Rom 8:38-40 and Eugene Peterson puts it wonderfully: I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

Psalm 125:2 - i love this verse. To me it is saying what many of the ascent psalms say...lift up your eyes. If we lift up our eyes to the north, HE IS THERE, if we lift up our eyes to the south, HE IS THERE, if we lift up our eyes to the east, HE IS THERE, if we lift up our eyes to the west, HE IS THERE. If the prince of this world has blinded your eyes, lift up your heart, HE IS THERE. We cannot always seem Him, that's why they call it faith but, whether you see Him or you not, HE IS THERE both now and forevermore.
