Proverbs 19:20
Listen to advice and accept discipline,
and at the end you will be counted among the wise.

This verse speaks volumes. How many times have we seen children despise the correction of their parents and go their own way, only to become unruly adults. Those willing to listen to wisdom and abide by wise correction will turn out to be upright citizens passing on wisdom. Help me, Lord, to listen for wise council and apply it to my life. Amen

I had it all, two times, and it never posted. I just put this in, and it took off and posted. I did not even have my "Sermon" (lol) typed yet. SO, Here we go here:::::::: I feel God is telling us that if we LISTEN to His Word and accept discipline, at the end we will be counted among His wise people. If we sin, we should feel guilty, have a digging feeling inside us making us feel uncomfortable, like there is no peace there. I feel that this can be "His discipline" for us so we will make it right. We need to ask for forgiveness right away for our sin because if we don't, we will end up not listening to His instruction, and we will stray from the words of knowledge (His advice, His commandments, His teachings). And if this happens, it can open the door to Satan to get his ugly, evil hoof in with one inch, and he will run with it and make it into a mile causing us all kinds of trouble! We want to be keeping "The fear of the Lord because it leads to life (His happy, Joy in the Lord Life), then we rest content (In His peace, His happiness, His joy), untouched by trouble (Satan and his lies and destruction and evilness)!!!! AMEN! PRAISE THE LORD! THANK YOU JESUS FOR YOUR BLOOD THAT YOU SHED TO BUY THIS WORD, THIS ADVICE, THIS WISDOM, THIS INSTRUCTION, THIS KNOWLEDGE, THIS LIFE OF HAPPINESS AND JOY IN YOU, THIS RESTING IN CONTENTMENT, THIS PEACE, AND THAT I AM UNTOUCHABLE BY TROUBLE THAT SATAN WILL THROW AT ME EACH AND EVERY DAY I WAKE UP! I WANT TO BE WHO I AM IN YOU LORD! I AM A BLOOD BOUGHT, BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, A CHILD OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS, AND NO MAN OR NO SUPERNATURAL BEING CAN TAKE ME AWAY FROM MY HEAVENLY FATHER! MY DADDY IN THE SKY! AMEN AND AMEN AND AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said, Mary. When the devil sticks his foot in the door...take the Sword of the Lord and cut it off and if he opens his mouth....cut his tongue out and beat him with it. AMEN. Sounds mean but I hate the devil with a vengeance...!!!

To me this verse means to openly accept advice and discipline for you will be counted among the wise in the end, meaning as far as judgement. Constructively accept advice along with discipline. Don't ignore it and not take it into your heart and mind. Listening to advice and discipline that is for your good will bring wisdom for it is kind of like constructive criticism to me, because it is something to construct you, change you, and make you for the better.

Yes, Davee, it doesn't seem so great at the time, but construction requires getting dusty and disorder, but in the end there's improvement
