Proverbs 12:4
A wife of noble character is her husband's crown,
but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones.

A wife of noble character is her husband's crown, the description of a noble wife, she is loyal to her husband she is kind she is helpful and loves everyone and honors her husband. A disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. A disgraceful wife is one who is deceitful, uncaring, and shows disgust and shame to her husband.

There is so much truth in this Proverb 12, throughout but this verse jumped out at me because I surely have a wife of noble character. However, I do know some men who do not have that blessing in their lives and life is not so pleasant for them. Thank You, Lord, for granting me a noble and upright wife who is most loving and supportive. Lord, awaken those wives who are not so noble, that they may see how much better life could be if they honored You and their husbands. Likewise, give men the wisdom to treat their wives as You have commanded. 1Co_7:3 Let the husband give to the wife proper kindness, and likewise the wife also to the husband. Amen

Well said Lloyd, as God has told us, shown us, and through the Holy Spirit given us the ability to have a God honoring marriage

Lloyd, I agree with Mick, very well said. You're blessed to have a great marriage with a wonderful wife. How's she doing since her surgery btw?

Thanks, Donna. Joan is doing extremely well. I may have said it before but when she went to her cardiologist June 1st, (just a week short of 3 months after surgery) as she was leaving his office he said; Joan. She responded; yes. He said right now you are where most people are 6 months post surgery. Tomorrow, Sept. 6th, will be the six months mark, and you would never know there was ever anything wrong with her. God is so good. He's given us testimonies that anchor our faith, healing of two vertebra in her back which she had displaced at age 15, lengthening her left leg in 60 seconds by at least half an inch. That's just her. Then giving me total peace at the amputation of my left foot 23 years ago Sept. 11th this year. Yes 10 years to the day before the 911 incident in New York.. I better quit before I write a book right here. God bless you Donna.

Great to hear the good news of the recovery your wife is having, and giving God the glory for that. Also for the peace you have, Lloyd, after loosing your foot. I too, am an amputee; had a farm accident 45 years ago. Time passes quickly, doesn't it? As fellow amputees, guess you could say we both already have one foot in heaven!
