and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near."

and saying, Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven has come near." At one time in our life we came to know the Lord Jesus Christ we cried out to Him to Repent for our sin. It was a Big Change in My Life to come to Jesus the day i accepted Jesus as My Personal Savior I physically felt a lifting of my sins from my shoulders. As a Nation we can return to Gods Glory by Repenting of Our Sin. "Repent,All ye Nations for the for the Kingdom is truly Near.

We must always be mindful of the nearness of God and His Kingdom. It is right at our hand, right next to us. There is a Kingdom of Heave on this earth just as there is a Kingdom of Hell. It is interesting to me how many people can say that they believe that there is a hell on this earth (or that they believe that this earth ~this life~ is hell, and yet they do not believe that the Kingdom of Heaven also exists here as well. Why is it so much easier to believe in evil over good? Why do people choose evil over good, darkness over light, a lie over the truth. In the next chapter (4) we will see this: "the people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.” (v.16). This answers the question. Before light came in to the world the people were in darkness. And, in the Gospel of John we learn that people naturally love the darkness. It is so sad and so unfortunate that so many do not come to see ~and, indeed, refuse to see~ that the light is so much better than the darkness and so much more to offer...

Sometimes the strongest messages are the shortest. Bill Fay said that "God can use everything...except our silence". Just saying "Repent" causes "those who are 'religious'" to question and a non-believer to ask.

This message is so often told to us in the Word and yet it's power never stops. When I here the word repent, it causes me to review my current behavior. I realize how loving our God is.
